In a recent development, the Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) has expressed its vehement disapproval over the deportation of its Senior Program and Legal Advisor on Transitional Justice, Martin Mavenjina, to Uganda. The KHRC made this assertion in an official statement issued on Sunday.
According to the communique, Mavenjina arrived back in Kenya on Saturday night, approximately at 10 p.m., after completing his official visit to South Africa. Shortly thereafter, he was deported, a move that has sparked strong criticism from the KHRC.
